Free Prescription Discount Card
Litchfield Park residents can save as much as 20 percent on retail drug purchases with Litchfield Park's new FREE prescription drug discount program.
The City has teamed up with the National League of Cities (NLC) to make FREE
prescription drug discount cards available to City residents. The NLC cards are free to all residents, regardless of age, income level or existing health coverage.
There are NO enrollment forms, NO memberships fees, and the discount cards can be used by residents and their family members for any prescription drug not covered by insurance. The NLC cards can be used for discounts on many commonly prescribed drugs at several local pharmacies.
The card is also accepted at more than 59,000 participating retail pharmacies across the country.

Access a list of local participating pharmacies from the CVS website. Locate the "quick links" navigation heading and click on "locate a pharmacy".
Is it a better deal than my regular drug coverage?
If a drug is not covered under your regular insurance, the card may be used for a discount on the retail price of some medications. Not all medications are eligible for the discount; however, check the Caremark website for covered drugs and pricing.
Can I use it in combination with my other prescription drug insurance?
No, the card cannot be used in conjunction with other insurance; however, the card may be used to purchase prescriptions at a discount that are not covered by your insurance plan.
I tried to use the card at a pharmacy and they never heard of the program and did not give me my discount. Why not?
Not all pharmacies accept the discount card. Check the Caremark website for a list of participating pharmacies in your area.
The pharmacy only gave me 5 percent off. Why didn't I get the 20 percent discount?
The discounts are UP TO 20 percent, and in many cases, are less than 20 percent. Savings will vary by drug and pharmacy. Refer to Caremark's website for details.
